*Background on Rolex Watches*




May 09, 2008 – For over a century, the Rolex brand has become the ultimate ‘revolutionizer’ in the history of watch making. Rolex watches pioneered the manufacturing of the first ever waterproof watchcase and the first chronograph displaying date. Over the years, the Swiss-made Rolex has become the world’s largest luxury watch brand. Aside from their known quality and luxury, Rolex has also made a reputation in watches suitable for the extremes of deep-sea diving, mountain climbing, and aviation. Early sports models included the Rolex submariner and the Oyster Perpetual Sea Dweller. Developed specifically for explorers who would navigate rough terrain, the Explorer and Explorer II were designed to withstand events such as the world famous Everest Expeditions.

My journal week 4


On Tuesday 16 and Thursday 18 June, 2009: Blog Evaluation, this is the first topic that I learned this week before Aj. Gob taught this topic she said about Product strategy a little bit for students knew to Branding and positioning. And then she talked about Blog Evaluation, she told us "Your blog is your brand" Blog evaluation had content, Language use and design & style. After that she showed some websites that interesting and gave some example about brands of products to supported and linked with student's blog so she gave some students talked to the problem of blog and she continued to teach in Product strategy > thought about any product I knew that product = product + service when we had our brand so our brand had 6 processes that were R&D, service, support, packaging, warranty and branding. When this part finished I got some idea from learning in part of Product management: Phillip Kotler too. And the last topic was Brand: Promise which it had Build value > Manage value > Deliver value and Brand Impact: Brand, Physical > Emotional.
For the second day, we had an activity 3 people for a group and showed about job interview. When they finished, Aj. Gob continued to brand impact to emotional and physical. And then she showed some brand of product which they had modern and interesting.
