+Swiss is preparing new economic stimulus package+

Switzerland economic indicators were quite good last year, which used to make the whole nation feel relieved. However, recently State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland has expressed that the Switzerland economy has encountered extreme difficulties in 30 years, and predicted that the GNP would be decreased by 2.2% this year, and the unemployment rate of 2010 may increase to 5%.
Meanwhile, Switzerland Social Democratic Party, Christian Democratic Party and Labor Union also claimed publicly that, at the end of 2010, the number of young Unemployed Group would increase. According to statistics, young unemployed group under 24 years old in February this year has increased 30% compared with the same period last year. The above prediction and claim make Swiss people specially worry about the national economy and employment prospect, becoming the national topic. They required the governments of Federal and each state to come on with strong rejuvenating economy policy.
To against this global financial and economic crisis effectively, all sections of Swiss have taken actions since last year. The government had launched two economy rejuvenation plans successively and called on and encouraged every industry to reduce job losses by tax; and all the economic sections have responded positively, they cut the cost by reducing working hours and try to keep the job market stable. In December last year, more than 300 companies in Switzerland reduced the working hours and in January this year, another 1200 companies have joined them. In the same time of reducing working hours, most of companies train their staff to against the possible difficulties in the future job market. A recent economy investigation shows that, presently more than 50% employees in Switzerland would rather get less salary than lose job and they have got prepared for changes.
But things go contrary against our wishes; the total export amount of February in Switzerland has dropped 17.3%, among others, the metal industry has fallen by 36.6%, weaving and plastic product industries has fallen by 30% and watch industrywith a drop of 22.4%; United bank of Switzerland recently announced that they would reduce the employment this year, and Swiss Re-insurance Company has also decided to carry out a 10% job cut globally. As one of the three biggest chain shop in Switzerland, “Agate” also prepares to take such action.

In 1905 Hans Wilsdorf and his brother-in-law Alfred Davis founded "Wilsdorf and Davis" in London.Their main business at the time was importing Hermann Aegler's Swiss movements to England and placing them in quality cases made by Dennison and others. These early wristwatches were sold to jewellers, who then put their own names on the dial. The earliest watches from Wilsdorf and Davis were usually hallmarked "W&D" inside the caseback.In 1908 Wilsdorf registered the trademark "Rolex" and opened an office in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.The company name "Rolex" was registered on 15 November 1915. The word was made up, and its origin is obscure. Wilsdorf was said to want his watch brand's name to be easily pronounceable in any language. One story, never confirmed by Wilsdorf, is that the name came from the French phrase horlogerie exquise, meaning "exquisite clockwork". Since, the first day until today that I made this blog I meet a lot of problem. First thing I don't have knowledge about marketing. It makes me study hard for this subject but it is quite good because I will learn and use English for International Trade more and more. When I studied this subject I could make my blog and I knew many kinds of products that were interesting and they were global brand which those products Aj. Gob showed me and they were surprised too because some brand I never know them. So, it’s the best way to doing my blog which was my brand. When I made my blog I met problem more because I couldn’t make about technology in part of computer well. This reason made my try. Furthermore, this subject made me doesn’t shy about presentation and speaking in class. I really like this subject and I hope my blog may be useful for who interest it. My journal week 4


On Tuesday 16 and Thursday 18 June, 2009: Blog Evaluation, this is the first topic that I learned this week before Aj. Gob taught this topic she said about Product strategy a little bit for students knew to Branding and positioning. And then she talked about Blog Evaluation, she told us "Your blog is your brand" Blog evaluation had content, Language use and design & style. After that she showed some websites that interesting and gave some example about brands of products to supported and linked with student's blog so she gave some students talked to the problem of blog and she continued to teach in Product strategy > thought about any product I knew that product = product + service when we had our brand so our brand had 6 processes that were R&D, service, support, packaging, warranty and branding. When this part finished I got some idea from learning in part of Product management: Phillip Kotler too. And the last topic was Brand: Promise which it had Build value > Manage value > Deliver value and Brand Impact: Brand, Physical > Emotional.
For the second day, we had an activity 3 people for a group and showed about job interview. When they finished, Aj. Gob continued to brand impact to emotional and physical. And then she showed some brand of product which they had modern and interesting.

My journal week 3


On Tuesday 9 and Thursday 11 June, 2009: This week I studied only day because our class was canceled on Tuesday 9 June, I thought some students may be surprise and happy like me when they saw that Aj. Gob posted on M-Learning. And on Thursday, started from Aj. Kob showed blog that she interested and said about choosing template not so many. After that I made an activity about product strategy which Aj. Gob gave us brainstorm together about buying the products: What's the factor that made us to buy this product, how we chose it? Included the value of products too. So, this activity made me knew method to buying products and learned about 4ps and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs more. Furthermore, it made me had relationship in my group and to drilled speaking too. I like this activity.

My journal week 2




On Tuesday 2 and Thursday 4 May,2009 which are the second week of studying this subject. First I would like to refer about adaptation I thought it's better than first week because I knew with my friends more and more especially third year students. This week my teacher explained about course outline again but it had more details and she talked about scores of this subject. After that she interpreted about making blog and she showed her blog too. Furthermore, she taught about business and marketing which these made me know something about them. She searched some brands of interesting products for students to look. And she opened her video on google about victoria's Secret which this was one brand of underwear I thought this clip had sexy in itself. When we seen this advertisement she asked us to share idea together and answer some questions from that. Next day, I learned about principle of marketing concept included Maslows Hierarchy of Needs Theory too.

My Journal week 1


On Tuesday 26 and Thursday28 May, 2009 which was the first week that I studied with a new teacher. First time, I felt excited and I wanted to know her because I would like to knew about her mind. When she said I felt she is very friendly she made me and my friends to enjoyed so much. And I thought she might be kind too. For first week she explained about course outline about this subject that was English for International Trade (ENG-380) which was the subject that I never had knowledge about marketing and I didn't like it too. But I must study to develop the knowledge and understanding about this case more and more included the using correct language about this course too. When my teacher talked to this course it made me learned about using different technology. And then she talked about Business Manage Marketing which I thought it was difficult and busy. So, it reflected me to hard more than this. Furthermore, she remained good speaker in English that how they should be? And she gave to share opinions together. These all makes me think, English language is important for me if I'm ardent I can do it.
